Our location in Ireland's most northwesterly county, means Glenmore Estate often feels the full force of the wet and wild Atlantic rain, so we focus on breeds that make sense for this area.

For the more upland areas, you need animals that are good on their feet, so we have a flock of pure Lanark ewes, which are a prolific and vigorous breed.

Their coats shelter them from extreme weather, and they are a very-low maintenance and easy to manage breed.
